Affordability and portability — that’s the name of the game for Dell and it’s new Inspiron 11 300o series notebook. Priced at $349 for the AMD CPU model and $379 for the fourth-generation Haswell CPU model, the laptop will feature an 11-inch touch display. According to Dell, the Haswell version will last over eight hours on a single charge.
Despite being a budget ultraportable, the Inspiron is fairly attractive. The notebook’s exterior has been coated in a silver soft-touch finish that gave us a nice firm grip when we held it. Weighing in at 3.15 pounds with a 0.83-inch thickness, we’re fairly certain the Inspiron 11 can fit into most medium-sized purses and messenger bags without a hassle. The notebook also has a fairly robust port spread offering three USB ports, HDMI, an SD card reader, Ethernet and headset jack.

We noticed that the display isn’t the brightest we’ve seen, but for the price this system is worth a second look. The Dell Inspiron 11 3000 series notebook will be available for purchase starting October 3rd. Stay tuned for our full review.
